Dr. Jack Wheeler, called the Real Life Indiana Jones by the Wall Street Journal after visiting every country in the world, has recently visited Albania with friends and family from the United States of America. Wheeler booked a grand trip of Albania through the Albanian Rafting Group, which took him and his friends from the top to the bottom of our beautiful country!
The group started in Tirana and then travelled to Berat, visiting the Osumi Canyons and the COBO winery. They then moved on to rafting in the Vjosa River, hiking in the Sopoti waterfalls, and enjoying the thermal baths of Permet. Next, the group visited the UNESCO-heritage listed town of Gjirokaster, and the Syri Kalter Blue Eye Spring, before travelling further south to experience the natural beauty of the beaches of Saranda and the Ksamil Islands. Finally, Dr. Wheeler and his group visited the 7th Century BC Butrint archaeological national park, and then Porto Palermo Castle on their way back to Tirana.
