Back in 2021 we did a rafting tour of the Osumi River Canyon here in Albania. It was a lot of fun with some great scenery. 

At this time of year the water levels are too low to do rafting, so instead they run guided trekking tours through the canyon. You don't need hiking boots though... you need a life jacket for this hike!

It was about an hour and a half drive to get to the departure point. Then, they get you all suited up with neoprene wetsuit pants, a helmet, and a life jacket.

It was 8:30 a.m. when our adventure began, departing from the charming Castle Park Hotel in Berat. We were eager to explore the raw, untouched nature in the heart of Albania. With the Albania Rafting Group guiding our journey, we set off toward the spectacular Osumi Canyon—a place we'd only seen in photos.
