About This Tour

Wild Nature. Real Adventure. Trusted Experience.

Rafting on the Vjosa River is one of Albania’s most authentic outdoor experiences. Flowing freely for over 270 km, the Vjosa is widely recognized as Europe’s last wild river, shaped by untouched canyons, calm turquoise stretches, river islands, and dramatic mountain landscapes.

This adventure combines pure nature with Class II–III rafting, offering the right balance of excitement and accessibility for first-timers, families, and seasoned adventurers alike.

The experience is operated by Albania Rafting Group, the team that introduced rafting to Albania more than 25 years ago. As pioneers of the sport in the country and official representatives in international rafting competitions, they remain the most experienced and safety-focused rafting operator in Albania.

Rafting in Albania is generally accessible and suitable for beginners, especially on lower-difficulty sections. That said, every participant should feel comfortable with light physical activity and confident spending time on the river.

For your own comfort and enjoyment, it’s important to be in good general health and able to move freely. Rafting may not be suitable for guests with certain serious medical conditions, during pregnancy, or for anyone under the influence of alcohol or substances that could affect balance, awareness, or reaction time.

If you’re unsure whether rafting is right for you, we’re always happy to talk it through and help you decide.

For low-difficulty rafting (Class II, typically May to June), there are no age or weight limits, making it a great option for a wide range of travelers.
