The gorgeous canyon of Lengarica is located in the Fir of Hotova National Park, Permet. During the exploration we will see several caves and the most impressive is Pigeons' Cave at 160 meters long and up to 3 meters. At the beginning of the canyon there is a stone bridge arcs over a winding stretch of brilliantly blue-green water. Built in the Middle Ages, it has been letting people cross the sulfur-rich river since the days of the Ottoman Empire. Warm water rushes beneath it, providing a relaxing treat during our river hiking trip.
Overview
Not as long as the Osumi canyon, the Lengarica Canyon doesn’t fall short in beauty whatsoever.
Located in the Fir of Hotova National Park, Permet this 5km long canyon is going to astonish you with it´s combination of ancient rock formation and the water flowing through them.
The caves you are going to witness during the exploration, the most note worthy being the Pidgeon cave located 3 meters high up and 160 meters long, are going to stick with you for a long time.
Traces of the Ottoman Empire are still there, as a stone bridge built in the Middle Ages spans across the stone walls allowing people to pass the river till nowadays. The sulfur rich river with it´s warm water is going to serve as a nice comfort through the hike.
