Sopot waterfall is located south of Përmet, above the village of Stërmbec. The waterfall is located at the foot of Mount Nemërçkë (2485 m) above sea level. The trail offers wonderful views of the southern part of the massif and above all a stunning view of the glacial circuit of Mount Nemërçkë.

Sopot waterfall is located south of Përmet, above the village of Stërmbec. The waterfall is located at the foot of Mount Nemërçkë (2485 m) above sea level. The trail offers wonderful views of the southern part of the massif and above all a stunning view of the glacial circuit of Mount Nemërçkë.
The circuit has a length of 2 km and a width of 600 m.
At 9:00, we will meet at Hotel Alvero (center, Permet). We will discuss about the trip and will walk through the intenerary.
At 9:30, we will leave Permet and we will drive to Stermbec village, which is located 15 km away from Permet. The estimated time duration will be 20 min and the transportation will be by minibuses that are proved by Albania Rafting Group.
When we arrive in the village, we will start hiking to "Uji i Sopotit (transl, Sopoti waterfall)," which is our destination. The hiking will take about 2 hours and 30 minutes, but this depands on the number of stops we will make.
After arriving to "Uji i Sopotit,"(12:20) we will have a lovely picnic near the main spring. We will have time to enjoy oursleves, looking at the magnificent view of the area, which resembles the European Alps, but in a unique way. Uji i Sopotit is wonderful place to recreate the forgotten connection we have with Mother Nature. The view is indeed remarkable, looking at the cirque glaciers and the icy snow, which does not melt, even in the hottest day of summer.For the photography enthusiast, Uji i Sopotit is their dream destination.
We will start the descend later on (13:20). It will take 1 hour and 30 minutes to return to the village and to say goodbye to that magical place. After we get to our minibuses we will return to the city of Permet(15:00).
Attention
Rafting trips in Albania do not provide high level of difficulty, but every visitor should consider:
- Be healthy and have consulted the doctor during the year.
- In absolute terms, the person should not have diseases and complications following:
- Cardiac disease of any kind
- Hypertension
- Flake out or lose of feeling of any kind
- Problems of the spine and muscular system that reduce the physical possibility of safety.
- Problems with breathing apparatus
- Nerve Problems
- Pregnancy
- Problems with eyes (severe myopia, retinal detachment, glaucoma)
- Be under the influence of pharmaceutical drugs, drugs, alcohol.
You should have worn:
- Sport light wear (short trousers and t-shirt)
- Sandals / sneakers for walking, strong and non-slippery
- A smile
You should take with you:
- Sunlight protection cream
- An extra pair of underneath
- An extra pair of long trouser, t-shirt

Not Included
Everything that it is not mention on the scheduled trip is not included, such is: coffee, other kind of drinks or other foods. Although you are going to feel like tipping the guides at the end of a beautiful trip, we don’t want you pulling out the wallet every minute.
